Welcome FAMIS members

Medicaid members enrolled in FAMIS can now make plan choices through Cardinal Care, Virginia’s Medicaid Managed Care program. Members can use this website or our free mobile app to learn about benefits, choose a health plan, and find in-network providers. To download the mobile app, search for Virginia Cardinal Care on Google Play or the App Store.

New and Improved Medicaid Health Plan for Youth in Foster Care

Starting July 1, 2025, all youth who qualify for Foster Care Medicaid will be enrolled in Anthem HealthKeepers Plus. Anthem HealthKeepers Plus will be the Single Statewide Foster Care Specialty Plan (FCSP).

Family Services Specialists can opt out of coverage under Anthem HealthKeepers Plus and enroll the member into fee-for-service, but the member will not have access to the extra benefits offered by the FCSP. In 30-60 days, you will get an FCSP assignment letter with more information.
